Leading Omani firm Global Business Services LLC has initiated procedures to set up a presence in Hungary. It follows a series of MoUs signed by Muscat-based Global Business Services worth around USD 450 million in the fields of Oil & Gas, trading, tourism and manufacturing.
Registration of the Omani company in Hungary will boost commerce, trade and investment promotion between the two countries, stated by Shaikh Khamis Salim al Junaibi, Chairman.
The company registration process was signed at the Hungarian Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman in the presence of Dr Tibor Szatmari, Ambassador of Hungary, Zsolt Pakozdy, Commercial & Economic Counsellor (Hungarian Embassy), Shaikh Khalid Abdullah Said al Hamrasdi and Shaikh Khamis Salim al Junaibi - Chairman of the newly formed Hungary and EU business entity Global Business Services Europe. This was followed by the official signing of the company formation documents
GBS EU’s team comprises of Jamal Salim al Junaibi – Managing Director, Syed Imtiaz Ali Gilani - Technical & Business Development Director, and Sultan Juma al Sinaidi - International Relationship Director. Representatives from the Hungarian side include Miklos Ruzics – Managing Director and Andras Kepes – Technical Director.
With the goal of promoting long-term trade and commercial cooperation between Pakistan, Sultanate of Oman and Hungary, Pakistan’s Ambassador K K Ahsan Wagan was also invited as a special guest to witness the company registration ceremony.
“Global Business Services acknowledges and appreciates the role played by HE Dr Tibor Szatmari, Hungarian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, and his team in the company registration and facilitating trade, commercial and investment promotion between the both sides,” said GBS in a statement.
“In order to give a practical shape to the business and investment promotion between the Sultanate of Oman and Hungary, a business delegation comprising prominent businessmen and investors will visit Hungary from January 22, 2022. The main objective of the Omani business delegation is to hold B2B and B2G meetings with the Hungarian side.
