Muscat: The National Leadership Programme to Empower Omani Median and Senior Leaderships in the Private Sector “Etimad” received the second batch of trainees, which comprises 255 senior leaders in the private sector, of them 25 are entrepreneurs.
The programme aims to empower national human resources in the private sector and to sharpen their leadership and supervisory skills.
The programme’s trainees come from various sectors, such as tourism, technology, industry, communications, transportation, logistics, constructions, banking, mining and energy.
Sayyid Salim Musallam al Busaidi, the Ministry of Labour’s Undersecretary for Human Resources Development said that the objectives of the ministry’s Human Resources Development sector’s focus on elevating national cadres on the leadership level and in various development sectors.
On her turn, Dr Yasmin Shanan al Balushi, Project Manager of the programme said that Etimad was designed in collaboration with prestigious international universities. She affirmed that it is comprehensive and relies on modern and diverse training techniques.
As many as 500 trainees were in the first batch of the programme. It should be noted that Etimad targets thousands of national cadres in the private sector as it contributes to achieving the goals of Oman Vision 2040. --ONA
