MUSCAT: Under the auspices of His Excellency O L Ameer Ajwad, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Sultanate of Oman, National Bank of Oman (NBO) introduced remittance services to the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Muscat. Continuing to make banking more accessible and convenient, the service will help the Sri Lankan community to make affordable transfers to friends and family in their native language using the bank’s secure and approved international transfer network.

With competitive exchange rates in several currencies, NBO customers can also instantly send funds of up to OMR 7,500 from their account using the bank’s digital remittance service available anywhere at any time through the award-winning NBO Mobile App. Plus, the first instant transfer is free, and thereafter just OMR 1.500.

Adding to the growing number of affiliations with embassies, we are proud to partner with the Embassy of Sri Lanka to provide our customers working and visiting there with greater access to our services, and more value to their banking needs. They can also pay the way they like, whether its directly from their bank account, or using a credit or debit card.”

NBO’s remittance service continues to offer convenient, fast and easy way to send money abroad. Meanwhile, the bank encourages its customers to take advantage of its digital banking App, which allow them to remit safely and securely, any time of the day or night, to Sri Lanka as well as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Philippines, and Indonesia. The beneficiary will then receive the money on the same day, and if possible, instantly.
