MUSCAT: Al Mouj Muscat, the Sultanate’s premier lifestyle destination, celebrates Omani Women’s Day, an annual event which honours the essential role women play in society.
Now in its 13th year, Omani Women’s Day was introduced by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said, may God rest his soul, as part of a nationwide renaissance that set out equal opportunities, rights and duties for all. His vision has helped shape a culture that empowers women to excel in the workplace and where both their economic and social significance is recognised. Today, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik champions the rights of women to serve their country and society as we work towards fully realising Oman Vision 2040.
Al Mouj Muscat is focusing the day on giving thanks to the accomplishments of women and where in its management team alone, four out of the nine positions are held by female members of staff.
As part of its commitment to Oman Vision 2040, it provides an extensive programme of training and professional development, and actively encourages diversity with women now employed in all departments from architecture and engineering to project management and marketing.
“When it comes to being an inclusive organisation, we’ve a lot to celebrate and Omani Women’s Day provides an ideal opportunity to do so,” comments Al Mouj CEO Nasser al Sheibani.
“A nation can only truly thrive when the talents of all its citizens are recognised and in Oman, women are at not only nurturing the next generation but are at excelling in every sector.
“It is why we are delighted to share our gratitude on a day that honours the life-enhancing contributions women will make this day, and every day in the Sultanate.”
