Suhar: In line with Oman Vision 2040 in the field of interest in the education sector, with all of its types and levels, and providing the supporting environment which motivates research and innovation.
The University of Sohar has offered a master programme in public law, which is taught in Arabic language during two years.
The teaching and implementation strategies of the programme are applied in the theoretical cognitive lectures, while the virtual court and the legal clinic in the university provide practical lectures by raising real issues, which gives the students a unique experience.
The students also participate in various workshops and training courses, and scientific visits to courts of various degrees, public prosecution departments, ministries and various institutions to understand the way of applying the law in real life.
The programme hosts lecturers from outside the university in interactive dialogue sessions about the new legislation in the Sultanate.
The graduates are theoretically capable and practically trained in various fields of legal business. In order to meet the needs of development plans, and to effectively contribute to the development of legal sciences and its various legislative applications through scientific research, and in addition to the dissemination of legal knowledge to individuals and institutions of society.
