Muscat: The general assembly of the Supreme Court (SC) held its first meeting of Judicial Year 2021-2022 under the chairmanship of Sayyid Khalifa Said al Busaidi, Chairman of the Supreme Court, Chairman of the Council for Administrative Affairs for the Judiciary.
Sayyid Khalifa commended the achievements made over the past judicial year and expressed gratitude for His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik’s patronage and support for the judicial system.
Sayyid Khalifa also thanked the judges and members of the Public Prosecution Department for the efforts they exerted during the past judicial year. He hoped that the new judicial year would see more accomplishments and enhance the goals of Oman Vision 2040 towards the realization of fair justice that promotes the process of development in the Sultanate.
The general assembly discussed the formation of judicial chambers for the year 2021-2022 and related statistics. Sayyid Khalifa exhorted judges to espouse active measures to ensure quick and standardized settlement of claims. --ONA
