Muscat: Oman Meteorology office on Wednesday said that the agency is expecting to form a tropical situation in the Arabian Sea within the next 36 hours.
“We are closely monitoring the activity of cumulus cells in the northeast of the Arabian Sea, near the area in which the tropical state is expected to arise. It is expected that the tropical situation will form in the Arabian Sea within the next 36 hours,” weather experts at the Met Office said.
Meanwhile, the weather office predicted clear to partly cloudy skies along the coastal areas of Dhofar governorate and adjoining mountains.
Mainly clear skies over the rest of the Sultanate with chances of medium and high clouds advections. Chances of convective clouds formation and isolated rain occasionally thundershowers over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas towards afternoon and evening. Chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches along the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea and Oman Sea.
