Suhar: At the beginning of this academic year, Sohar University organized the annual Staff Development Week, where the week's activities took place from September 14 to 21.
As a part of the week's activities, Professor Barry Winn, Vice-Chancellor of the University, honoured the employees who received the Vice Chancellor's Outstanding Achievement Award and Vice Chancellor's Teaching Award.
He also honoured employees who completed ten and twenty years of service at the university.
The week's activities also included many training workshops and lectures covering various aspects targeting the university's academic and administrative staff.
The programme also included an induction programme for new employees who join the university, which aimed at familiarising them with the various regulations of the university and the mechanism of its workflow.
In addition, the programme covers administrative aspects, academics affairs, health and safety, research issues, etc.
