MUSCAT: In response to the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, to speed up the process of recruitment of nationals, and in continuation to the national efforts exerted by the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) to open the door for citizens to join the military service and obtain the honour of serving the dear country, the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), in coordination with the Ministry of Labour, received a new batch of citizens.
RAFO took all the precautionary measurements against Covid-19 to start the basic military training for new air soldiers who have passed evaluation, physical fitness testing and personal interviews.
RAFO employed its expertise and administrative capacities as well as its means of transportation in order to provide a suitable environment for conducting the necessary procedures for the new recruits in a speedy and seamless manner.
These vigorous efforts made by the SAF to recruit citizens are in line with the plans and programmes for the employment of nationals at SAF and the other departments of the Ministry of Defence to enable them to serve the country, its leader and the Omani people. — ONA
