Serbia's Exit Festival, held in the northern city of Novi Sad over the weekend, has attracted tens of thousands of young people from all over Europe.
According to the organizers, over 40,000 visitors per night flocked to the Petrovaradin Fortress above the Danube, the atmospheric venue of the festival, which began on Thursday and ends on Sunday.
The lineup included musicians and DJs such as France's David Guetta, Nina Kraviz of Russia and Germany's Paul Kalkbrenner.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, visitors had to provide proof that they have been vaccinated against the pathogen, have recovered fromCovid-19 or present a negative test result.
Ticket holders were also offered free rapid antigen tests on Novi Sad's exhibition grounds.
Exit draws world famous performers across musical genres and is one of the biggest and best-known music festivals in Eastern Europe. This year, the event celebrated its 20th anniversary. It initially launched as part of protests against the late Slobodan Milosevic's regime.--dpa
