The Directorate General of Airport Security arrested two foreigners for forging medical reports while they were trying to leave the Sultanate through Muscat International Airport.
According to ROP, the suspects used Covid PCR certificates that they obtained through a travel agency. The case is under investigation.
Earlier, the Ministry of officials had cracked down on some incoming travelers with forged PCR certificates. "We detected some forged Covid-19 examination certificates at Muscat Airport from travelers outside the Sultanate, and they were dealt as per the decisions of the Supreme Committee"
