The council will also hold its 13th ordinary meeting of the second annual sitting (2020-2021) of the ninth term (2019-2021), on Tuesday.
This was stated by Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Secretary-General of Majlis Ash’shura, on Monday.
Al Nadabi added that the council will host Dr Rahma bint Ibrahim al Mahrouqiyah, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation to present the ministry’s statement which will explain the policies of higher education, research and innovation and the ministry’s strategies in light of the Oman Vision 2040.
The statement will discuss the ministry’s policies and their implementation mechanisms in light of the Oman Vision 2040 as well as the adaptation policies of the specializations in the public and the private higher education institutions to the labour market as well as the ministry’s five-year plans and strategies for higher education, vocational training and scientific research in line with the Oman Vision 2040 and the ninth five-year plan and its executive programmes and under the current economic crisis, among other topics, he added.
Majlis Ash’shura will discuss, during its 13th meeting, a number of laws referred to it from the government in addition to a number of expressed desires presented by the council’s members. The council’s members will listen to responses from ministries and government units to the written question presented by the council’s members, Al Nadabi said.
Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Secretary-General of Majlis Ash’shura, noted that the session will be public and will be attended by journalists and citizens after presenting a request for attendance on the council’s website or by directly contracting the secretariat-general.
