Mahfudha al Balushi excelled in the manufacture of Omani khanjars since she was a young lady, as she acquired this traditional craft from her family known since ancient times in that craft. Her family was a destination for lovers of elegance, the beautiful details, the distinct engravings of khanjars. People come from various places to search for the khanjar that satisfies their taste.
Al Balushi has been determined to find her way with this craft. She established her own shop for khanjar making and then this shop has turned to the first destination for Omanis and people from the Gulf and she was able to earn the trust of her customers.
Mahfudha said that the Khanjars made in Al Khabourah are distinguished by a tiny engraving with pens. She inherited these pens from her father and uncle and their price may reach RO 300. She masters the making of Khanjars from Nizwa, Sur and the Saidi Khanjar.
