Duqm Port Company announced the completion of the implementation of its plan to transfer its employees in Muscat to the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) after receiving all facilities, which will allow workers to start work from the port's land site.
Eng. Hashem bin Taher Al Ibrahim, Director General of Commercial Support for the Port of Duqm, said, "In order to keep pace with the rapid increase in the work of the Port of Duqm, which requires the presence of all employees near their work, all necessary procedures have been completed to implement the plan to transfer all employees of Muscat to its permanent headquarters in Duqm, which will also strengthen communication channels with the Special Economic Zone of Duqm.
It may be noted that port buildings consist of administrative offices, and a maritime control tower (55 meters height with 11 floors) to monitor the movement of vessels in the port basin. The offices are equipped with modern and advanced equipment to keep pace with the aspirations of the company.
The Port of Duqm is being developed into an integrated, multimodal logistics hub, encompassing maritime links, a well-connected road network, making it a strategic strong hold.
