Oman Aviation Academy receives first aircraft

With the traditional water salute, Suhar Airport celebrated the arrival of the first two aircraft of the Oman Aviation Academy (OAA) on Friday.


Suhar Airport will be the main operational center of the academy.


OAA is in partnership with CAE, which is a worldwide leader in aviation training for the civil and military. With 50+ training locations across the globe, CAE has the largest civil aviation network in the world.


OAA will become an Approved Training Organization (ATO) by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).


At OAA, the fully integrated facility has been designed to meet the state-of-the-art technology for the aviation training organization. All classrooms will be equipped with cutting-edge training aids in a very comfortable atmosphere to enhance the learning process for the cadets. The facilities include a full in-house campus for all cadets.


OAA will be equipped with state-of-the-art and the best aviation training equipment in the market to deliver the highest standard of quality in the aviation training industry. This will include all brand new fleet of airplanes to the highest level of Flight Training Devices (FTDs).
