The Sultanate's delegation is headed by Dr Ahmed Nasser al Bakri, Under-Secretary for Agriculture.

The event aims to review the knowledge void of policy makers on international, regional and local food safety, increasing knowledge, and exchanging information about food safety in the GCC countries.

It also reviews the main challenges facing food safety, proposing protective measures, reviewing success stories in fighting food insecurity, and increasing regional awareness on food security. The conference touched on establishing a comprehensive GCC food system. - ONA
