Academic courses get accreditation

The academic programmes of several institutions of higher education across the Sultanate have received accreditation from the Programmes and Institutions Accreditation Committee of the Ministry of Higher Education.
The committee, which held its third meeting this year chaired by Jokha bint Abdullah al Shukaili, Director-General of Private Universities and Colleges and Vice-President of the Committee, granted accreditation to a bunch of academic programmes, including an Advanced diploma in IT Engineering, Bachelor Honours Degree in IT and Advanced Diploma Honour Degree in Marine Engineering at Technical Military College.
It granted accreditation to the Masters in Business Administration at Muscat College as well as Bachelor degrees in Islamic Studies, and Jurisprudence and its Foundations at Sharia Sciences College. The committee approved Bachelor Honours in Mechanic Engineering and Automobile Technology.
Masters in School Sports at Sohar University, and Masters in Applied Geosciences with a minor in Petroleum Geology at German University of Technology also received accreditation.
