Construction to begin on Duqm Refinery project

April 26 - The groundbreaking of the largest cross-border GCC investment, Duqm Refinery Project, was held under the patronage of Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture. The ceremony marks the the laying of the foundation stone and the launch of construction work for the refinery and Petrochemical Industries Project, which represents a real addition to the economic projects in the Duqm area. 'The joint resources and expertise of the two institutions from Oman and Kuwait  will contribute to opening up a broad horizon that supports the development of the petrochemical industry in the Sultanate,' said Kuwait International Petroleum Corporation (KNPC) executive.
