Al Khabourah Castle open for visitors after renovation

Muscat: The Ministry of Tourism has announced the re-opening of Al Khabourah Castle in North Batinah Governorate for visitors after completion of renovation works. Visit hours will be 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. The Al Khabourah Castle  is located little less than 2 km from the main centre of Suhar and close to the Sea of Oman. According to official sources, Al Khabourah Castle was a legal court and not a war site. The castle has a courtyard at the centre. The main entrance is located on the northern side, with two artillery shells beside it.
