Renovation starts at Qalhat Archaeological Site

Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Culture has begun restoration of the Bibi Maryam’s Tomb in the ancient city of Qalhat in Sur, Al Sharqiyah Governorate.
A team of renovation experts will carry out the project over a period of four months.
Qalhat ancient city was included in the Unesco world heritage list in 2018 in recognition of the exceptional historic value of the archeological site.
