Muscat: The Bahla Charitable Team Endowment building in the Wilayat of Bausher was inaugurated under the auspices of Dr Mohammed bin Said al Maamari, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, in the presence of Dr Laila bint Ahmed al Najjar, Minister of Social Development.
The Bahla Charitable Team Endowment building consists of eight floors, with the basement and ground floor designated for shops, and six upper floors for residential apartments, covering a total area of 4,480 square metres. It was built at a cost of RO 1,300,000. “The idea of creating a permanent endowment for the team since its establishment in February 2012 was based on the belief that the endowments of the Bahla Charity Team are its investment arms, propelled by people endowing some of their properties,” said a representative from the ministry. He mentioned that these properties include land for agricultural, residential, and commercial purposes, as well as real estate. “This is due to their belief in the importance of endowment in the sustainability and continuity of charitable work, as well as seeking divine blessings,” he added.
