The session explored means of promoting the joint cooperation. - ONA
MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Cuba held in Muscat on Monday the first round of the political consultations session.

During the session, the Omani side was chaired by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, while Gerardo Peñalver, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba chaired his country’s side.

The session explored means of promoting the joint cooperation and the existing relations. It underlined the two countries’ keenness to boost cooperation in all areas. The two sides also discussed a set of regional and international issues.

The session was attended by Vladimir Andres Gonzalez, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Sultanate of Oman and minister plenipotentiary Dr Hanan bint Ibrahim al Shihiyah, Head of America Department at the Foreign Ministry. It was also attended by several officials from both sides. — ONA
