MUSCAT: C K Birla Group of Hospitals, in collaboration with Muscat Family Physicians’ Group and Global Treatment Services, hosted an International Medical Conference on 'Recent Advances in Interventional Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery' on January 10 at City Seasons Hotel in Muscat.
The event featured renowned experts including Dr Hamoud al Kindi, Head of Cardiac Surgery at Royal Hospital, and Dr Manoj Kumar Daga and Dr Joy Shome from B S Birla Heart Hospital, Kolkata.
Key topics discussed included advancements in cardiac surgeries, heart failure treatments, robotic surgery, and non-invasive aortic valve replacements. The conference was attended by 50 leading medical professionals and followed by an interactive session. Dr Hamoud emphasised the importance of cooperation between government and private health sectors in improving healthcare services in Oman.
