Asian tennis championship from today

MUSCAT: The Asian and International U-14 Tennis Championship and the West and Central Asia regional qualifiers, organised by the Oman Tennis Association, will kick off today (Monday). The tournament runs from November 13 to 23, with the participation of 13 Asian countries. The matches will be held at the tennis courts of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.
Thirteen Asian federations have confirmed their participation in the championship and qualifiers, representing Oman (the host country), Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
The boys' category includes 26 participants, while the girls' category has 19 players competing in both championships.
The Omani national team players are aiming to secure numerous international ranking points and compete for top positions in this tournament. The team has completed its preparations through a comprehensive training programme led by the national team's technical staff over the past few days.
