50 Omani SMEs participate in Omani-Kuwait Economic Exhibition

Kuwait: Fifty Omani small and medium-sized enterprises participated in the Omani-Kuwaiti Economic Exhibition, which took place earlier this week in Kuwait.
The four-day exhibition, which began on December 23, 2024, is part of the Omani-Kuwaiti Economic Forum, organized by the Oman Product Promotion Team (OPEX), Kuwait's Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Speaking to ONA, Dr. Saif bin Khamees al Maamari, Advisor to the Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Head of the Operational Team for Promoting Omani Products (OPEX), shared that the event serves as an important platform for Omani SMEs to explore investment and business opportunities in the Kuwaiti market and to showcase the quality and competitiveness of Omani products across various sectors.
He added that the forum and exhibition provide an opportunity for Omani entrepreneurs to connect with their Kuwaiti counterparts and build long-term strategic partnerships.
Meanwhile, Reem bint Mubarak al Obaidani, Head of the Digital Communication Department at the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), noted that the exhibition represents a vital opportunity to showcase Omani companies' potential in various sectors, including food, handicrafts, and modern technologies.
She added that the participation of several Omani businesses in the exhibition is part of the authority's efforts to enhance economic cooperation with Kuwait and help SMEs explore promising opportunities in the Kuwaiti market. She emphasized the authority's commitment to boosting the competitiveness of Omani SMEs by promoting the quality of their products and innovative capabilities, as well as facilitating access to strategic partners in target markets.
