Qatar celebrates 53th National Day

 
Doha - The State of Qatar is celebrating its 53rd National Day today, embodying the progress achieved under the leadership of Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

The relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar are a model of brotherhood and cooperation in all fields, including economic, cultural, social, and investment fields, with the exchange of common views based on dialogue on many regional and international issues.

The State of Qatar is witnessing one of the fastest economic growth leaps regionally and internationally. It also sits on the throne of liquefied gas production in the world and has become a major force in the field of foreign investments, in addition to its achievements at various levels and fields: political, economic, scientific, cultural, social, and legislative.



Regarding the foreign relations of the State of Qatar, this year witnessed Qatari political and diplomatic activity and movement, which contributed to achieving more successes and accomplishments in its foreign relations in the political, economic, investment, military, defense, and strategic partnership fields, through its openness to various countries and peoples with active diplomacy based on a policy of mutual respect and common interests.

In the economic field, the total expected revenues of the State of Qatar’s budget for the fiscal year 2025 amounted to 197 billion Qatari riyals, including the sectors of health, education, human capital development, and raising the quality of public services, in addition to strategic sectors including trade and industry, research and innovation, tourism, digital transformation, and information technology to support economic diversification efforts, achieve sustainable development, and support the implementation of strategic and development projects.

This year, the State of Qatar launched the third National Development Strategy (2024-2030), to achieve the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which was launched in 2008. It aims to continue to be prepared to face challenges and guide Qatar towards moving towards the ranks of developed countries by 2030.

The State of Qatar has been keen to build a world-class health system, as statistics show that by the end of 2023, the number of hospitals and long-term care facilities in the public sector reached 19 hospitals and facilities, and the number of health centers in the public sector (including centers affiliated with the Primary Health Care Corporation, and centers managed by the Qatar Red Crescent under an agreement with the Ministry of Public Health) increased to 35 centers distributed across the various regions of the State of Qatar.

The State of Qatar also launched the National Food Security Strategy, which aims to achieve sustainable food security through guiding principles that include promoting healthy consumer habits, ensuring food safety and quality, sustainability, and adaptation to climate change, and building effective partnerships.

The digital plan was also launched, which is a roadmap for digital transformation in the State of Qatar, and aims to achieve the goals of the third national development strategy.
