Muscat: Most governorates of the Sultanate of Oman will be affected by northwesterly winds between December 18 and 20, which will result in rising sea waves on the coasts of western Musandam Governorate and the coasts of the Arabian Sea, reaching a maximum height of 2.5 meters.
There are chances of dust and dirt rising in the desert and open areas may lead to a decrease in horizontal visibility.
Temperatures in Muscat and other governorates are likely to drop, according to Oman Meteorology.
On Tuesday, maximum temperatures in Seeb were around 22 °C, Al Amerat 22°C, Bausher 22°C, Muscat 24 °C and Quriyat 24°C.
Most wilayats in the Dhofar governorate will have maximum temperatures in the Mid-20s.
Hazy weather prevailed over most of the governorates with clouds advection over coastal areas of the Oman Sea and Al Wusta governorate.
A drop in temperature may result in frost formation over mountain tops. Chance of low cloud or fog patches over parts of Al Buraimi and Al Dhahirah governorates.
