Oman’s natural gas production rises 4.5%

MUSCAT: Oman’s total natural gas production and imports hit 47.105 billion cubic metres by the end of October 2024, marking a 4.5% increase from last year’s 45.093 billion cubic metres, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
Industrial projects accounted for 51.1% of gas consumption, using 24.081 billion cubic metres. Other key sectors included oil fields (9.893 billion cubic metres) and power generation stations (12.922 billion cubic metres).
Non-associated gas production, including imports, totaled 37.549 billion cubic metres, while associated gas production reached 9.555 billion cubic metres, reflecting Oman’s expanding energy sector. — ONA
