Honourable Lady, Egypt's First Lady visit Opera House Muscat

Muscat: Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, accompanied by Intisar el Sisi, Spouse of the Egyptian President on Sunday visited the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM).
HH The Honourable Lady and Spouse of the Egyptian President viewed ROHM’s building which is considered an Omani civilizational and artistic edifice. It is also considered an architectural masterpiece that is inspired by the Omani architectural heritage.
During the visit, they were briefed on the House’s programmes and objectives that aim to communicate with the peoples of the world through music.
They also visited the House of Musical Arts and viewed the exhibits in the Exhibition of Musical Arts “Oman and the World”. The exhibition includes different artistic artefacts, musical instruments, costumes of participants in operas and the musical library which comprises rare books and manuscripts.
It is worth noting that ROHM during the upcoming 2025 season will host a special festival celebrating the prominent 20th-century Egyptian singer, actor, and composer Mohamed Abdul Wahab and highlighting milestones from his life and artistic works. This event is part of a series of programmes prepared by the House to celebrate Egyptian art and musical icons.
