MUSCAT: Marking its 10th anniversary, the Oman Down Syndrome Association (ODSA) held a grand event celebrating a decade of dedication to supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

Over the years, the association has spearheaded initiatives aimed at enhancing education, healthcare access, and social inclusion for those it serves.

The anniversary event featured heartwarming testimonials from parents and educators who shared success stories of empowerment and progress.

A highlight of the event was an exhibition showcasing the artistic and creative talents of individuals with Down Syndrome, including paintings, crafts and musical performances.

Interactive workshops offered guidance to families on topics ranging from inclusive education to navigating healthcare systems. The association’s leadership emphasised its future goals, including expanded partnerships with schools and workplaces to promote integration and independence.

This milestone also served as a reminder of the importance of building a society that values diversity and provides equal opportunities for all its members. — ONA
