Oman joins 1st Gulf-Jordanian investment conference

MUSCAT: Oman is set to participate in the inaugural Gulf-Jordanian Investment Conference, scheduled to begin Wednesday at the King Hussein Convention Center in Jordan. The event aims to deepen economic ties and explore joint investment opportunities between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Jordan.

Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and the GCC Federation of Chambers, highlighted the conference's importance in fostering partnerships. 'This platform will explore strategic collaborations in areas such as tourism, logistics, agriculture, and food security,' he stated.

The event will feature two key sessions. The main session, titled Strengthening Gulf-Jordanian Economic Relations, will address investment opportunities and challenges, while the first working session will focus on Jordan's investment landscape, with discussions on tourism, medical tourism, and logistics.

OCCI’s delegation, led by Rashid bin Amer al Musalhi, First Deputy Chairman of OCCI, will also attend the 65th meeting of the GCC Chambers' Board of Directors, discussing initiatives to enhance regional economic and industrial cooperation.
