Muscat: This year, the Sultanate of Oman celebrates its 54th National Day amidst continuous achievements and ongoing efforts to support the welfare of citizens and achieve comprehensive and sustainable development in all sectors.
At the heart of this strategic vision, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MoHUP) played a major role by developing innovative housing programmes that seek to meet the needs of citizens, provide diverse housing options, and facilitate access to suitable and stable housing.
The “Integrated Residential Neighbourhoods” service is one of the leading housing options provided by the ministry, as it allows citizens the opportunity to own ready-made residential units in fully-serviced residential neighbourhoods.
This option includes a variety of units, such as detached villas, attached villas, apartments, and “townhouses”, providing a variety to suit different tastes and needs. These neighbourhoods aim to provide an integrated residential environment that provides all basic services and achieves quality-of-life standards that are in line with Oman’s future vision.
The ministry has also made available the “Integrated Residential Plans” option, which provides citizens with residential lands within fully-serviced plans at subsidised prices that suit the purchasing power of different segments of society. This option enhances the possibility of living in luxury in integrated residential neighbourhoods that contribute to providing stability and comfort.
As part of future plans, the ministry has introduced the “Future Cities” option, which seeks to accommodate those eligible within new city projects, such as Sultan Haitham City. This option allows citizens to live in a modern urban environment that achieves a balance between the requirements of modern life and psychological comfort, by providing various facilities to enable them to own residential units in future cities that offer an advanced standard of living.
These cities come as part of Oman Vision 2040, which aims to achieve comprehensive development in various sectors.
All of the above comes within the vision of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to enhance the standard of living in Oman, as the government, under his leadership, stressed the importance of developing the housing sector in a way that serves the well-being of citizens and enhances their stability.
These efforts have been reflected in the policies implemented by the ministry, which are based on providing diverse housing options that take into account the aspirations of citizens in various governorates of Oman.
