Capital gets a new 'landmark'

The Muscat municipality unveiled the 'Muscat Sign' project on Friday, a new addition to the landmarks of the capital.

Placed at the top of the mountain at Al Jabal Street (Bausher-Amerat Road), the project includes illuminated letters from a height of 16 meters and a width of 42 meters.

The lighting can be seen from a distance from Muscat Expressway and also from some areas around Sultan Qaboos Street.

The technology used in the project allows changing the lighting colors according to the various occasions, which adds a festive fervor and enhances the beauty of the capital.
