MUSCAT: Seeb Club secured a massive victory over Dhofar with a score of 125-41 in the 2024-2025 Oman Basketball League season, in a game that displayed Seeb’s clear dominance throughout all quarters. The match was held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex’s auxiliary hall in the Wilayat of Bausher.
Seeb demonstrated superior performance, winning every quarter thanks to standout players such as Wilfred Romeo, Abdulrahman al Shaibi, Noah al Amri, Zakaria al Wahaibi, Islam al Ajmi and Marwan al Hadidi.
Seeb began the game with high offensive energy, opening with an 8-point lead against Dhofar’s 2 points, led by an early three-pointer from Noah al Amri. Seeb continued their aggressive attacks, with Marwan al Hadidi scoring four consecutive points to quickly widen the gap. Although Dhofar attempted a response with two points from Abdulrahman al Shibli, Seeb maintained their lead, ending the first quarter with a commanding 30-9 advantage.
In the second quarter, Seeb maintained their advantage thanks to the brilliance of Zakaria al Wahaibi and Abdulrahman al Shuaibi. Seeb doubled the score to 40-11 by scoring consecutive points. Dhofar tried to reduce the gap through several attacks, but they were unable to keep up with Seeb, who ended the first half with a large margin of 66-21, after the team scored 26 additional points compared to only 10 points for Dhofar.
In the third quarter, Seeb increased pressure and continued to dominate the field thanks to successive shots from Noah al Amri, Islam al Ajmi and Marwan al Hadidi, who took turns in scoring points, including successful three-point shots. The gap widened to 86-21 by the middle of the quarter, and the attacks continued regularly as Seeb added more points to end the third quarter with a crushing lead of 101-26.
In the fourth and final quarter, Seeb continued to dominate the match. Mazen al Hadid netted a three-pointer, followed by a two-point basket by Wilfred Romeo, making the score 106-26. Despite Dhofar’s attempts to reduce the gap, Seeb managed to add 19 additional points, compared to 15 points for Dhofar in this quarter. The match ended with a crushing victory for Seeb with a score of 125-41.
The match was officiated by an international refereeing crew consisting of Issam al Siyabi as the first referee, Thani al Khalasi as the second referee and Mazen al Hilali as the third referee, while Ghaleb al Hasani, Sharaf al Zadjali and Rayan al Dhafrouni supervised the table.
