Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition concludes in the Wilayat of Bausher
MUSCAT, OCT 9 — The preliminary qualifiers for the 32nd Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition concluded in the Wilayat of Bausher (Al Khuwair Centre) with 136 participants over three days. Dr Saeed bin Hamid al Dhuwyani, Vice-President of the competition’s committees, explained that participants competed across seven levels of Quran memorisation, tailored for different age groups:

Level 1 was for memorising the entire Quran, level 2 was for 24 consecutive parts, and level 3 had 18 consecutive parts. The fourth level had 12 parts for ages 25 and under, level 5 had 6 parts for ages 14 and under, level 6 had 4 parts for ages 10 and under, and finally, level 7 had 2 parts for ages 7 and under.

This year, 1,790 participants registered through the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science, surpassing previous records and reflecting wide national engagement. — ONA
