The General Directorate of Transport team was crowned champion of the 13th football championship of the Royal Court Affairs Units (RCA) in Muscat, after beating the General Directorate of Human Resources team on penalty kicks.

The final match was under the auspices of Nasr bin Hamoud al Kindi, Secretary-General of the Royal Court Affairs, at the Royal Court Affairs Stadium in Al Khoudh.

The player Hatem al Hamhami from the General Directorate of Human Resources team received the best player award, Said al Saadi from the General Directorate of Veterinary Services team received the top scorer award with 6 goals, and Zahran al Jabri from the General Directorate of Transport team received the award of the best goalkeeper, while the Royal Camel Corps fans won the award of the best fans.

In the group stage, the General Directorate of Human Resources team was able to qualify by achieving 9 points, then passed the quarter-finals to the semi-finals after defeating the Royal Aviation team on penalties, and in the semi-finals, it was able to eliminate the Royal Cavalry team with a clean goal.



As for the champion, the General Directorate of Transport team, it was able to qualify from the group stage by achieving 12 points. In the quarter-finals, they defeated the General Directorate of Gardens and Royal Farms team with three clean goals, to complete its journey to the semi-finals and eliminate the Royal Cavalry team with a clean goal.

Nasr al Wahaibi, coach of the General Directorate of Transport team said that “This tournament has a special flavour after a four-year hiatus, and we were able to achieve victory over the General Directorate of Human Resources team on penalty kicks after a positive draw of one goal for one goal despite the difficulty of the match, and this victory came as a result of the solidarity of the team players and will be an incentive for the team in the upcoming versions to be on the podium of the coronation”.

With this victory the General Directorate of Transport team raised the number of the titles to four after winning it in the years 2019, 2018, and 2016.
