MUSCAT: The 8th edition of the Karate Pioneers Championship concluded on October 25, Friday. It was organised by the Karate Pioneers Academy at the main hall of the Bausher Sports Club in Bausher.

Al Qudra Karate Club won the championship title after intense competition among a selection of participating clubs. The Champ Club came in second, while both Emperor Karate Club and Rakan Sport Club secured the third place.

The championship featured the participation of 31 clubs from various Gulf, Arab, and Asian countries, with a total of 370 male and female participants across different age groups, starting from 4 years and above.

The events included both kata (demonstration) and kumite (sparring) competitions, with weight divisions aligned with the International Karate Federation’s standards, appropriate for the kata and kumite categories.
