Oman, Somalia discuss ways to boost investment in livestock sector

MUSCAT: Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, received in his office yesterday Hassan Hussein Mohammed, Minister of Animal Wealth, Forests and Pastures of the Federal Republic of Somalia, who is currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting aims to enhance areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries in the livestock and meat sectors. The two sides discussed supporting joint investment in the livestock and meat sector, and discussed a number of topics of common interest, where it was agreed to hold a joint trade and investment forum between the two friendly countries in the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Dr Saleh bin Saeed Masen, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Bashir Hassan Haji, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of officials from both sides. — ONA
