His Majesty, Algerian President hold official talks

 
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria held an official session of talks at Al Alam Palace on Tuesday.

At the outset of the session, His Majesty the Sultan reiterated his welcome to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his accompanying delegation, wishing this visit a success for the welfare of the two countries and their peoples.

On his turn, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the warm welcome and hospitality.



The session reviewed the fields of cooperation between the two countries in a manner that contributes in opening up new vistas of partnership and investment.

The two leaders discussed the current situations and exchanged opinion on them with the prime aim of achieving security and peace in the region.

The official session of talks was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, HH Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr Hamad bin Said al Oufi, Head of the Private Office, Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat (Head of the Mission of Honour) and Saif bin Nasser al Badaei, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.



Meanwhile, it was attended from the Algerian side by Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Laaziz Faid, Minister of Finance, Mohammed Arkab, Minister of Energy and Mines, Kamal Badri, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City, Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Trade and Exports Promotion, Fazia Dahleb, Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy and Dr Mohammed Ali Boughazi, Ambassador of Algeria to Oman.
