Omani Day of Physical Activity marked
MUSCAT: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth on Saturday marked the Omani Day of Physical Activity at Al Sahwa Park in the Wilayat of Al Seeb, on Saturday.
A celebration was held under the auspices of Dr Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Education. It aimed at promoting community health and building a broad base of sustainable physical activity practitioners.
Saud bin Badr Ambusaidi, Assistant Director-General for Sports Affairs and head of the organising committee at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, said that the ministry marks the the Omani Day of Physical Activity in October every year in all its directorates and departments in all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman with the aim of increasing awareness of the physical activity for individuals. — ONA
