Tunis: The Ministry of Information on Wednesday joined the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) network during its participation in the ISSN annual meeting held in Tunis.
By joining the ISSN network, the Ministry seeks to activate the sector of publishing and enhance Omani cultural identity on the international scene.
The step will also help learn about global experiences in using the ISSN for supporting the marketing and dissemination of periodical publications issued in the Sultanate of Oman.
The ISSN network’s meeting dealt with challenges facing publishers in the digital age. It also discussed means of improving business operations, facilitating access to information through the use of ISSN and providing updated data available on new titles.
