Oxy Oman signs ICV initiatives

Oxy Oman’s ICV strategy is focused on developing a diverse local supply chain.

Oxy Oman has signed three In-Country Value (ICV) contracts as part of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM) ICV event. As part of the event, the MEM launched a unifying ICV brand called Majd, which will be used for ICV programmes and initiatives across the sector.
The launch event was held at the JW Marriott Muscat under the auspices of Dr Saeed bin Mohammed al Saqri, Minister of Economy. Steven Lauver, President and General Manager of Oxy Oman, attended with senior representatives of the company.
Oxy Oman took part in a signing ceremony for its ICV contracts:
1. Vendor Development Programme – Sakan Facility Management SAOC, for the provision of maintenance and repair services for Oxy Oman camp areas, offices, and facilities.
2. Vendor Development Programme – Aman the First LLC, for services in measuring emissions from process equipment through the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) program.
3. Local Manufacturing Opportunity – Duqm Hongtong Pipes LLC (DHTP), for the supply of Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipes (RTP). DHTP has invested in building a facility in Duqm, demonstrating Oxy Oman’s support for local growth and capabilities.
“We are proud to be part of this important milestone in advancing Oman’s In-Country Value initiatives through the newly introduced Majd identity,” said Lauver. “Oxy Oman’s ICV strategy is focused on developing a diverse local supply chain, enhancing local technical capabilities, and supporting Omani businesses. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals and other stakeholders to further contribute to the Sultanate’s growing economy.”
