Alaa Emad al Hussain — an innovator in the making

Muscat: Alaa Emad al Hussain, a student at Al Murooj School (5-10) in Dhofar Governorate, is a passionate lover of coding and programming. She learned the skill of coding, which gave her many opportunities to showcase her creative self. Alaa has successfully participated in both local and global competitions to practice programming.
'Since I was young, I have loved electronic devices and programming,' Alaa said.
Her enthusiasm to learn more about online games, specifically Minecraft, inspired her to participate in a global competition where participants were asked to create a project related to finding solutions for environmental issues using coding.
Under the guidance of her teacher, Rehab, Alaa started her project, moving forward and earning certificates from Minecraft Education Edition at each level of the competition.
Locally, Alaa has won third place in Dhofar for producing the best visual project about the history of Mirbat. She worked hard to showcase, document, and highlight the rich heritage and culture of Mirbat through visual documentation. Additionally, she applied her technology skills to create an AI-generated video raising awareness of drug abuse.
Alaa thanks her family and teachers for their continuous support, encouraging her to develop her skills and participate in competitions. This unwavering support gave her the confidence and motivation to learn more about coding, programming and technology.
Alaa has future aspirations as she dreams of becoming a special programmer , hoping to invent technological devices that benefit her community, the world, and the environment. Moreover, she inspires and encourages other students to learn programming and participate in competitions to gain more experiences that benefit themselves and the world.
Alaa is a shining example of a young talented programmer who inspires others through her creativity and ambition in technology. Her journey is just beginning, and with her passion and enthusiasm, she will contribute more to Oman and the world.
