It is worth noting that the Oman Football Association Cup is a promotional tournament in which Omani League clubs participate without their international players, as local competitions pause during Fifa days.

The clubs are divided into three groups: the first group includes Sohar, Ibri, Saham, and Al Nahdha, while the second group consists of Oman Club, Al Nasr, Bahla and Sur. The third group includes Al Seeb, Al Shabab, Al Rustaq and Al Khabourah. The competition follows a league system, with the winner of each group and the best runner-up advancing to the semi-finals. The tournament is expected to continue until January 2025.
