Hotel revenues surge to RO 149.4 million

MUSCAT: Oman’s hotels, classified from 3 to 5 stars, reported a 7.8% increase in revenues, reaching RO 149.4 million by the end of August 2024, compared to RO 138.6 million in 2023. The rise in revenues coincided with an 8.4% growth in hotel guests, totaling around 1.4 million.
The National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) attributed the growth to higher numbers of local and international visitors. Omani guests grew by 7.5% to 541,035, while European visitors rose by 16.5% to 322,632. Gulf, Arab, and Asian tourists also saw notable increases, although guests from Oceania declined by 27.2%.
