Ahli Sidab, Salalah advance to Hockey League final

Muscat: Ahli Sidab Club achieved a 4-3 victory over Al Nasr Club in the semifinal match of the Oman Hockey League, which was held at the Oman Hockey Stadium in Al Amerat.
The match started with great enthusiasm in the first quarter, as Ahli Sidab opened the scoring through its brilliant player, Rashad al Fazari, in the 10th minute. However, the lead did not last long, as Al Nasr Club quickly responded through Akram Ashour in the 12th minute, and the match returned to a 1-1 draw, a result that continued until the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Rashad al Fazari managed to score his second goal in the 28th minute, giving Ahli Sidab a 2-1 lead at the end of this quarter, which added more pressure on the Al Nasr team.
At the beginning of the third quarter, Al Nasr returned strongly, as Osama Khamis scored the equaliser early in the quarter, bringing the match back to square one again. Despite the two teams' continuous attempts to change the result, this quarter ended in a 2-2 draw.
In the last quarter, Al Fazari excelled again, scoring a hat-trick and his team's third goal in the 50th minute, before Almas al Qasimi added the fourth goal for Ahli Sidab in the 51st minute, increasing the difference to two goals. However, Al Nasr did not give up, as Thani Hilal scored a goal to reduce the difference in the 54th minute, but the score remained the same until the end of the match, ending the match with Ahli Sidab winning 4-3, and the team secured its seat in the final match.

In the other semifinal, Salalah Club qualified for the final after beating Seeb on penalties with a score of 3-2, after an exciting match that ended in a draw in regular time, as the competition was strong between the two teams throughout the four halves.
In the first quarter of the match, Seeb started strongly and quickly, as Mohammed al Lawati was able to open the scoring in the ninth minute. Seeb continued to dominate during this quarter with repeated attempts to increase the score, but Salalah's defence maintained its cohesion to end the first quarter with Seeb leading 1-0.
In the second quarter, Salalah's performance improved significantly and began to increase pressure on Seeb's goal. In the 18th minute, Ayman Faraj managed to score the equaliser for Salalah, and with Salalah's continued offensive pressure, Talal Mohammed added the second goal in the 25th minute, to end the second quarter with Salalah leading 2-1.
In the third quarter, Seeb tried hard to get back into the match, and indeed Mohammed al Lawati managed to score the equaliser in the 40th minute, scoring his second personal goal. The strong performance of both teams continued during this quarter, but the score remained tied 2-2 until the end.
The tie continued in the last quarter despite attempts from both teams, to resort to penalty kicks, where Salalah's goalkeeper excelled to lead his team to the final with a 3-2 victory.
