Muscat: The Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Department, under the South al Batinah Police Command, arrested three Asian nationals for the possession of a large quantity of drugs.

The suspects were found in possession of crystal meth, hashish, and over 630 psychotropic tablets.

In a separate operation, the South al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command, in collaboration with the General Department for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances and the Coast Guard, apprehended another three Asian nationals.

The group was caught attempting to smuggle over 80 kilograms of hashish into Oman.

Both operations highlight the Royal Oman Police’s (ROP) relentless efforts to combat drug trafficking and smuggling.

Meanwhile, legal action is currently being taken against all the suspects.
