Let time heal and tell...

Time can heal most things, so give the problem you are going through some time.

But what we also have to remember is that history quite often repeats itself.

In our lives too, we can often see patterns emerging again and again. There are also times when we feel we are stuck in a situation, which at times can feel like a whirlpool, but we manage to survive.

I think the most important factor is that time will show us what really matters. So the way time heals is by changing our mindset. Whether we realise it or not, we are continuously evolving and growing. And that is because of our experiences. We cannot just float through them, at some point, life makes us pause and reflect.

As they say, when you are successful, there are people around you, and when you hit the challenges, they begin to diminish. One should not worry, because this is where you will begin to grow. One of the main objectives of life is to teach us lessons. The tougher the situation, the stronger the person, as long as we don’t fall into the pool of self-pity. It is the condition of self-pity that can make a person trip into the pit.

In fact, the people who overcome end up being an inspiration to others. And there are many people who have done that.

Will they be able to sustain that dedication and spirit of success? This is when we remember the line - Time will tell.

Another factor is that when the time ticks, we are not going to sit and wait. We have to move forward and learn new things. Learning is growing.

When we exercise the brain, the mind begins to think differently because there is an element of empowerment. We cannot expect others to do that for us. This is one initiative that must come from within because when this happens, we learn faster because we are hungry for knowledge. This knowledge can be deep or shallow, instant or time-consuming, but when you want it, you work for it.

Just like our fingerprint, our life journey is also meant to be different. Some of us prefer our parents to fund our education, while others tend to take it up on their own, such as studying full time and working part time. I met one such person recently, and she has just graduated. Her confidence level is different because she has explored responsibilities at an earlier age than others. She chose to take responsibility, not because she had to. It has given her farsightedness, and nothing can really stop her.

Life might be unpredictable, but if you have the resilience, then nothing can stop you; there could be just pauses. And pauses give us time to reflect.

As Robert Frost summed up about what he learned about life, he summarized life in these few words: “It goes on.”

So whether you are dreaming big or just existing, working hard or taking it as it comes along, worked up or calm, one thing is for sure: life will go on. However, we have choices, and this is where our will and knowledge come. It is up to us to instill a sense of quality of life.

No matter whether rich or poor, life style might differ, but we have a choice to maintain positive and healthy thoughts, which in any case will have positive outcomes.

And the experts say that is because the ones with positive thoughts will attract wonderful outcomes. So life is in our hands to be shaped even as we are flowing towards our destiny.

Living life well is our responsibility.
