Royal Oman Stallions crown D10 champion

MUSCAT: A spirited Royal Oman Stallions emerged as deserving champions in the fourth edition of Oman D10 League, which concluded at the Oman Cricket Academy ground in Al Amerat recently.
The fourth edition was played with six teams competing in three round-robin rounds, with the top two playing the finals.
In a thrilling finale at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground, the Royal Oman Stallions emerged victorious, defeating Yalla Shabab Giants by six wickets to claim the Oman D10 League title.
Yalla Shabab Giants, batting first, struggled to gain momentum as key wickets fell early. Mujibur Imran Ali (14 off 14) and Zohaib Amanat (27* off 19) tried to stabilise the innings, but the standout performance came from Zikria Islam, who hammered an unbeaten 36 off just 14 balls, pushing the Giants to 99/4 in their 10 overs. The Stallions' bowlers, especially Hasnain Ali Shah (2-17), kept the Giants under pressure, taking crucial wickets at key intervals.
In response, the Royal Oman Stallions started confidently, with Naseem Khushi smashing 18 off 8 balls. Vinayak Shukla (21* off 10) and Karan Sonavale (6* off 5) guided the Stallions to a comfortable chase, reaching 100/1 in just 3.5 overs. The target was made easier by the consistent flow of boundaries, and the Stallions claimed victory with six wickets in hand.
This victory secured the Royal Oman Stallions' place as champions of the Oman D10 League, starting off the season on a high.
Chaitanya Khimji, team owner of Royal Oman Stallions and Yalla Shabab, remarked, 'The feeling of winning a championship at the start of the season is certainly what we set our goals for. It was a dream come true seeing both Royal Oman Stallions and Yalla Shabab compete for a cup in the finals, which happened for the first time in three years. I wish much more success, and we are hopeful of delivering quality cricket over the season ahead.'
At the post-match presentation ceremony, Mr Madhursinh Jesrani, Secretary - Oman Cricket, presented the honours, as Rafiullah bagged the Player of the Match and Mujibur Ali (Yalla Shabab Giants) was adjudged Player of the Tournament for his all-round performance of 348 runs and 22 wickets.
