BEIJING- The Chinese commerce ministry announced on Thursday that technical teams from China and the European Commission are actively negotiating a flexible price commitment solution regarding the ongoing electric vehicle (EV) tariff dispute.

Both sides aim to reach a consensus before arbitration, as per a ministry spokesperson during a regular press conference.

Spokesperson He Yongqian emphasized China's 'strong commitment' to dialogue and negotiations to resolve differences while underscoring the country’s determination to protect the legitimate interests of Chinese enterprises. — Reuters
